Happy 4th of July!
I hope everyone has a fabulous holiday with family and friends. In case you need a last minute recipe here is my easy flag cake recipe! It is yummy and has lots of fresh, healthy fruit on it!
1 box of angel food cake mix (or yellow cake)
1 container of lite Cool Whip
1/2 of 6 oz. container of organic blueberries
1 lb organic strawberries, sliced in half
- Make angel food cake according to package directions in a 9 x 13 pan, or whatever rectangular pan you have. Completely cool cake.
- After cake is cooled, cover with a nice, thick layer of the Cool Whip. You need to let the Cool Whip thaw to be able to spread.
- Place blueberries in upper left corner to make “stars”.
- Place sliced strawberries in horizontal lines to form “stripes”.
