I love a bright fruit, acidic Sauvignon Blanc.
A zesty Sauvignon Blanc.
Full of flavor.
Light and crisp.
A Sauvignon Blanc that is a delicious aperitif.
But also a food friendly wine.
Dry Creek Vineyard’s 2010 Sauvignon Blanc is just that wine.
The vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley truly demonstrate the diversity of climate and soil this region has to offer. The climate and soil here contribute to the even ripening of the grapes creating that balance that makes this wine so delicious. The cool, temperate climate there helps to create the citrus and floral aromas of this Sauvignon Blanc. I also adore the beautiful straw color of this wine.
The bright acids in this Sauvignon Blanc are enjoyable and make this a memorable wine. It is also rich with melon and tropical notes and full of flavor, creating a balanced wine. This is a classic, beautifully balanced Sauvignon Blanc.
Although Dry Creek Vineyard’s Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect sipper for those warm summer months, I enjoyed it just as much this winter. I paired this wine with my Potato Leek Soup with Crispy Shallots and let me tell you, it rocked. The creaminess of the soup and the acidity of the wine balanced each other out very nicely creating a perfect pairing.
Dry Creek Vineyard’s Sauvignon Blanc will also pair nicely with the following foods:
~ Thai Chicken
~ Teriyaki Chicken
~ Cream of Asparagus Soup
~ Yellow Curry Dishes
~ Pasta Primavera
~ Salad with Citrus
