ZinFest Saturday Wines

Project 365: Week 4

I am just going to go ahead and give you fair warning.

There was lots of wine this week.

Which means lots of wine pictures.

Two out of the seven days I was in San Francisco at ZinFest, short for Zinfandel Festival.

In other words, LOTS of wine.

In other words, a damn good week.

Have I mentioned how much I love Zinfandel?

January 23: Sometimes you just need a big glass of red wine and a package of big ass, delicious chocolate chip cookies. #ThatIsAll

potato leek soup, dry creek vineyards sauvignon blanc

January 24: I made my delicious Potato Leek Soup with Crispy Shallots and paired with Dry Creek Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc. Not only is this soup delicious, there is NO cream in it. Super healthy and yummy! Check back for recipe + wine review this week!

January 25: My Costco wine purchase. I've said it once and I'll say it a million more times....CA Costco carries KICK ASS wine. This baby is going into my wine fridge for cellaring. Yes, I do have a new fascination for Italian wines. Big, bold and burly.

January 26: I went to Epicuria at ZinFest in San Francisco which was all about Wine + Food Pairings. It was beyond amazing. The above wines were the stand outs of the night and a few of my favorites!

Some of my favorite foods at Epicuria:Honey Roasted Winter Squash Bruschetta, Kollar Chocolate Bark, Shashimi-Won Tacos, Zinfandel Ice Cream and Cupcakes!

Another highlight from Thursday night, I met my buddy Bill from Dry Creek Vineyards!

January 27: Friday morning, Tyler and I hung out at home while Sadie was at school. We played Choo-Choo trains of course. He is so my little buddy!

January 28: Back to ZinFest for the Grand Tasting! I tried some phenomenal wines and these two collages show some of my favorites!!!

Hope everyone had a fabulous week!
