I love a food friendly wine.
Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir is just that type of wine.
Food friendly, but also delicious all on its own.
Perhaps my favorite thing about this wine is the incredible value that it is. I bought this at Costco for $16.99. I personally think it is quite difficult to find decent Pinots at that price. If the Costco near you doesn’t sell wine (which is a total bummer), it is also available at other places such as BevMo and Wine.com for around $20.
According to Meiomi Wines, the name Meiomi means “coast” in the language of the native, coastal dwelling Wappo and Yuki tribes, and best pays tribute to and symbolizes the origin of this Pinot Noir. This Pinot Noir is a blend of multiple vineyards along the California Coast, in Sonoma County, Monterey County and Santa Barbara County.
I’m off the sauce for the next two weeks, so you can imagine how much it is killing me to read about this one!

I recently tasted the 2011 vintage and enjoyed it. A little young and bright but with some air it evened out and was really good.
Still smooth and a good value.
