I love being ahead of the game.
I do believe that I was one of the first people to try the 2010 Epilogue Chardonnay. You know because I have a slight obsession with Wine.com.
And I of course drank this wine while watching The Bachelor.
Why you ask?
This is one of Ben Flajnick’s (AKA The Bachelor) wines from his winery, Envolve Winery. Ben, along with lifelong friends, Mike and Danny, have worked hard to build Envolve winery which focuses on sustainable, organic or biodynamic vineyards in Sonoma County. They have now launched two brands, Envolve and Epilogue, in an effort to provide consumers with wines at different price points.
The best part? Although the wineries two brands are at different price points, the quality is equally as high. One thing is for sure, these boys didn’t sacrifice the quality!
Epilogue Chardonnay is an excellent week night wine choice. It is super food friendly, smooth and delicious.
Think baked apple pie, pear and vanilla notes. Perfect as an aperitif, with mild cheeses, grilled seafood, or a yummy baguette. The lushness of this wine also makes it a good match to pair with a few aged cheeses with nutty or sweet flavors, such as Gruyere and Gouda.
I drank this yummy Chardonnay with my Grilled Cheese with White Truffle Butter, Jarlsberg and Grana Padano Cheeses, Cremini Mushrooms & Baby Arugula.
The two paired perfectly together.
Have I mentioned it’s only $13.99?
Yep, that’s it. The value of this wine is outstanding.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab a bottle of Epilogue Chardonnay and make yourself a fancy grilled cheese for dinner. All of the cool kids are doing it.
