{If you would like to read my original About Me post, click here.}
To honor 1 whole year of spilling my crap out here, I decided to elicit Jen from Buried with Children to interview me for my About Me page. Jen is an awesome lady and I knew she could handle the task.
What is your favorite color and why?
My favorite color is most definitely aqua. You know that beautiful aqua color of the sea?
Yep…that’s the one! Aqua gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling. I love aqua jewelry, aqua flip-flops, aqua cocktails.
How did you meet your husband?
Josh and I met in college during our freshman year. One of our mutual friends introduced us at a bar called The Beer Cellar. Sweet…we met a bar. It is so cliche but I remember making that across the bar eye contact. Oh- la- la! He bought me a beer and the rest is history!
What word can’t you stand?
As a mother, “NO!”
As a California Valley Girl, “Hell-a”. Seriously that word BUGS me. Don’t say it around me…ever.
What is your dream car?
My dream car is MOST definitely a bad-ass white Range Rover. It is a beautiful, sleek piece of machinery!
If you had all the money in the world what is the first thing you would buy?
Gas for my bad-ass white Range Rover.
No seriously, I would buy a bigger house. I don’t need much more…but I would like to have a few extra rooms for an office, a playroom, and a guest bedroom. Our family of 4 is quickly outgrowing our tiny house.
Favorite childhood memory?
I grew up with beautiful, loving golden retriever dogs. It is the only type of dog I have ever had and I love them dearly. When I was growing up, we had Dusty and Missy. Well, Dusty and Missy did the nasty and had 8 beautiful puppies. Missy went into labor in the middle of the night and I remember my parents coming into my room and waking me up, “Missy is having her puppies!” I ran into my parents bedroom where she was and it was one of the most remarkable and amazing childhood memories that I have.
I also could never forget roasting marshmallows listening to Willie Nelson around the campfire at our mountain cabin. That was the bomb.
What is your dream job?
Even though I look forward to bedtime each and every night, I have my dream job.
Being a stay-at-home mom.
I wouldn’t change anything in the world about my job. Except that I would like my children to listen to me the 1st time I tell them to do something.
Favorite thing to eat?
Hands down a good thin crust, well done pizza with a nice big glass of red wine. Boom.
Favorite position to have sex in?
I will keep this answer between Josh and I but apparently Jen likes to talk about her business between the sheets. You can read about that here.
Would you like it if your blog put you on Ellen or Oprah? Why?
Most definitely! Ellen, but not Oprah. Oprah is all sappy and I wouldn’t want to cry. Ellen on the other hand…YES! I would love to get my groove on and dance with her! On a more serious note, I think that MANY mom blogs should be put in the spotlight more. We are a fantastic group of women and have a lot of important things to say. My goal with my blog: to provide a space for other moms to come and read about my mishaps as a mother so they know they are not alone on this crazy ride called motherhood.
PS- I would totally dance to Who’s That Chick? with Ellen.
